No "reset button" resurrections for him. I'd say the opposite - Iolaus stayed dead far too long! I loved the episodes where he died and those immediately after, but I didn't like the way Iolaus II became his "replacement" for a while. I did like Iolaus II as a character, just not instead of Iolaus. - The comic relief characters should have been involved in some dramatic episodes. What's so wrong with Salmoneous involved in a Dahak episode or Autolycus forced to help Herc in a conflict with a monster from Hera? Salmoneous was great in his single dramatic role in the first season with Xena. I don't understand why that didn't continue.

I kinda didn't like how season 6 turned out, then again 8 episodes was so little, so it was kinda a rush. I really would've liked to have seen those scenes with Ares and NX.

I feel like the series finale could have been done better if they had had more time to build it up - the titans and the purple dinosaur were really cheesy, and it felt like they were regressing to Season 2, which didn't work for me considering the dark tone of S5. also, I think that when Xena started to become a real fleshy and coherent show, Hercules should have porbably explored putting down some good story archs.
