I liked the character from the beginning, and she has only grown on me. I like the performance by Hudson, and how she can portray Callisto in such a way that so many actually sort of like her even though you shouldn't... It's a complex character that would be perfect to look closer at.

She may be a psycho barbie, but I like her

I gave Callisto a 7. In the beginning I couldn't stand her, but eventually she grew on me. I began to enjoy the episodes with Callisto verses dread them. My favorite Callisto episodes were the two where Xena and Callisto switched bodies. That was fun and both Lucy and Hudson did a great job! Callisto was definitely an important part of the show...and Xena would not have been the same without her.

Absolutely 10, she is one of my favourite charachter, on my top 5 list. I love her twisted sense of humour, and the way Hudson portrayed her. Absolutely perfect. This charachter is one of the best in Xena

Her portrayal of Xena in "Ten Little Warlords" clenched it for me. The fact that she was so wonderfully versatile being able to portray Xena to a pretty big T was by far the most spectacular feat ever. Plus, Hudson Leick and Callisto could be personality twins...I mean...didn't you see the commentary? Ha! Glorious.

I see and understand what you mean, she grew on me, however i think while i loved the idea of Angel Callisto, I liked the old one better

You know, I have to say that Angel Callisto kind of grew on me. I really disliked her at first, especially in FA where she seemed so lobotomized... but thinking about it, it makes sense to me that she would just be stunned and disoriented from her transformation and having no memories of the evil things she had done. Her change in Seeds of Faith where she was still purified but had regained more of her individuality was interesting too.

I loved Callisto, she wasn't my favourite character but she was up there with the best. I loved to see how she changed through the run of the show. I also felt Hudson Leick, was a brilliant actress! Both as evil Callisto and as Xena when they swopped bodies. I Almost felt that she was Xena, but in her body, I felt she acted it really well. Also as we all know Callisto was...a bit damaged, and i felt Hudson Leick acted this very well, and also i felt her part was very...

Another thing about Callisto is that she was funny -- often in quite a chilling way.

Callisto was a really good vehicle for introducing an element of comedy (dark comedy) into dramas.

Callisto would get a 10 from me. The way Hudson portrays her is pretty much flawless. The way she speaks (always knowing the right tone of voice to use) and moves, it's very impressive. She's a spotlight stealer.

Love the way she greets Xena so 'sweetly'.

I agree Angel Callisto was a bit of a disappointment. Which brings her overall score down to 10 out of 10, from what should have been 11 out of 10 otherwise.

She got a 10 from me, though it almost dropped to a 9 - just found Angel Callisto a bit blah.

Still, she's just such an awesomely strong character that only ended up being a slight bobble.

However, one of my favorite Callisto scenes has no lines at all. It's Callisto's reaction to hearing Xena's scream of anguish as she finds Solan dead: glee and jubilation at first, then emptiness as she realizes that Xena's pain has not taken away her pain.
