Unfortunately no. I think few shows on TV would do something like that, it's more the type of thing that happens in books, for some reason. It's as if that somehow makes her death more harsh and tragic than for her to leave behind a grieving Gabrielle and an adult Eve. Still I would have loved to see it.

Personally I kinda want the 25 year jump not to have happened. Because it didn't give us anything really interesting. It felt...well, I just thought they didn't use Eve to her full potential.

I see no problems what so ever in keeping her as a child and have her stay with Cyrene on a regular basis. Other. The 25 year leap is fine with me, but the way it was portrayed and the events leading up to it could have been handled better, as well as some of the post-leap episodes.
Xena and Gabrielle being sent 25 years into the future is an interesting possibility - but I kind of liked the change to a world where they were widely believed to be dead.
