weren&#39;t happy with season 5.  More specifically, several of them didn&#39;t like the 25 year jump.  I don&#39;t feel strongly one way or the other about it

I enjoyed both B5 and <span style="font-style: italic;">Firefly</span> (and <span style="font-style: italic;">Serenity</span> as well), and those shows may
well be a more accurate reflection of the human psyche than Roddenberry&#39;s 24th Century Rainbow Coalition; however, all of these shows feature people using
exotic technologies, saving the universe (or at least planets), and declaiming to each other and the audience - in short, compared to other TV... ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ CF, I&#39;m not sure I actually meant to draw a contrast between X:WP and <em>Star Trek</em> -- I&#39;m not a huge expert on ST (the only one I know well is
the original series), but I was always under the impression that it was sci-fi with a large element of fantasy rather than truly &quot;hard sci-fi.&quot; Maybe
this is not true of the &quot;new generation&quot; ST, though?

before they took her out of the picture. It would have been nice to see more of that before she was gone.

			<description><![CDATA[ DoT, I see what you mean, of course.  I suppose it&#39;s not a big problem for me because Xena is not a realistic show: In real life, people don&#39;t come
back from the dead (more than once!), or swap bodies, or gobble some ambrosia and become gods ... etc.   Even taking something far less extreme, they don&#39;t
recover easily and without permanent damage from the sort of blows our heroines routinely take.  (In real life, Xena would have been covered with scars and
