I believe Tapert inserted symbolism thats misinterpreted as a "ghost" appearance of Xena to Gabrielle at the end of FIN II. It was only to allow
visual affirmation Xena was with Gabrielle (not meant as a ghost, now you see her now you don't). It was simply symbolic (very creative I might add).

I do not think there was ever any intent Gabrielle appear a nutcase talking to a Xena-ghost or talking to herself. Such interpretation...

Well, if we're using that as a theory, then yeah, I agree with that, Jolly. I don't think there was ever a ghost there--not that Gabrielle had gone
crazy per say but Xena wasn't actually there. Who knows? Her conversation with Xena could have not actually happened as a
"conversation". Meaning, that whole experience on the ship could have been her mind wandering off, thinking of Xena, and that, in her mind, she's
talking to her and just reaffirming that...

I'm liking...is it Nutty's?...insanity theory. There was no ghost. It was just an insane Gabrielle talking to herself and the figment of her
imagination. It doesn't make sense because it doesn't make sense. Gabrielle lost her marbles somewhere in-between gaining a chakram and losing a Xena.
