Whatever I get, I am putting it down towards the payment of my Bowflex. If it 300 or 600, it will help me pay off the machine I have wanted for years, and I intend to get my butt in good shape again, so it is an investment in my health! Of course, pulling out the Iraq war within the next two years (we do have to set a time table, otherwise we will never get out), and more of the money we are sending to everyone else ought to be used to rebuild our rails, roads, bridges, tunnels, and mass...

As much as I want to spend it on getting a Xena hoodie and more costume cards and a sword or two I'm saving mine so I can get a laptop for school so I don't have to fight family for the computer at home or hang out at the library all day to get my papers done.

Ours is going to be used to find my parents somewhere to live that will hopefully not cost so much to force us to choose between living arrangements and keep up my father's health insurance. And paying for food. Pretty much covering the bases until Social Security gets in gear and approves my dad's disability. And even through some miracle, if that comes through, we still have a lot of plain essentials that need to be taken care of. It'll have its uses but still isn't nearly...

Oh? Are you taking the one that goes through Juno, Sitka, and Scaggway? It's a gorgeous cruise... and early August is the best time to take it also...

We're going through Juneau, Ketchikan and Scaggway I've never actually been on a cruise before, so it should be fun.

$300.00 - it's gotten and spent. Hardly an "economic stimulus".

One tank of gas, 2 grocery store trips to stock up on necessities and 2 pairs of jeans on sale. Gone.

Try pulling out of Iraq, George and getting us some REAL jobs based upon REAL industry. That might be a start!

But that will never happen with an Administration that can't even admit until a few days ago that we were in a Recession (caused by them and the previous Administration....

I had originally planned on using some of it on bills and saving some.

Contemplating using it to go to a team roping school in June, though. The school is $450 but then there's the fuel to get there - it's expensive to fill up a car and I shudder to think what it's going to cost to fill up the truck with it's dual tanks. Plus, the extra gas used to pull the horse trailer.
Then there's food costs as well.

I'm paying bills when mine comes in. I got nailed with owing $500 in taxes this year (had my employer withhold more than they should have so I had enough money to eat more than just oatmeal...damn gas prices and long commutes ) and basically this is just giving me that back. At least I'm breaking even, 'cause that was $500 I really couldn't afford to shell out.

I logged onto my bank account and discovered that the IRS had deposited my "boost the economy" rebate into my account on Monday much to my surprise. I read over the weekend that Bush announced the rebates were going out earlier than originally planned but never expected to land in the first wave of 800,000 people.

So now I'm trying to decide if I should splurge on something I can add to the "Last Thing I Bought" thread as Bush wants us to or just let it sit...
