Anyone a member??

I received an invitation in the mail the other week to join this society I'd never heard about before. Apparently it's a worldwide academic community
that is supposed to "benefit" me if I join - with scholarships, exchange programs, interships, etc. And I just wanted to know if anyone had heard
about it or was associated with it? Because I'm uncertain if it's really worth me paying $93.00 for a piece of paper saying I'm a member - granted...

Golden Key is a legitimate academic society. Several of my friends in college were/are members and I was invited to be a part of it too. I already belonged to
another society and that's why I didn't join. It looks very good on resumes and I think once you pay the fee, you're a life long member. I would
definitely do it if you have the money.

most serorities around the US do have some sort of fee... And it's true that they can help you with work placement once down with school... Once your a
member you are always a member.. At least that is the way I understand it... Once you are done with school or looking for work, the other alumi's help you
to land a great job...

Of course I really have no experience on the matter, as I was always making fun of the preps...<img...

Yeah it does sound like a hoax to me.
But they do actually have a site. It would look good on resumes, and it might actually be real and help. I would just wonder if they are actually going to help
with anything other than being good on paper. I was in this honors society only by invitation, national thing and it said it would help me with college,
scholarships and all that, but they never did anything but send me a paper and chords to wear in graduation for high school. Granted it was...
