			<description><![CDATA[ I believe Iolaus accepted Dahak&#39;s offer after Loki&#39;s encounter, before Darkness Rising. The monster in the ice cave, and his &quot;final form&quot; in
Iolaus&#39; soul, is just a projection, or an incomplete manifestation. He was in Iolaus&#39; body when he slaughtered the Druids; that&#39;s who the cloaked
figure is running through Hercules&#39; dreams. Dahak can travel quickly between countries where local gods cannot and zip out again.

			<description><![CDATA[ Good thread!  I started rewatching the entire X:WP/H:TLJ Dahak arc a few weeks ago, and just finished the Norse eps on Saturday  - it really inspired some of
the most angst-laden writing on both series, and Hercules himself was never more interesting as a character before or since.

The way I understood things, Gilgamesh opened the door for Dahak by ensuring that the Sumerian deities would be too weak to oppose him, and Iolaus&#39;s death

two ladies knew nothing about what had happened. I can clearly see Xena and Gab finding him and persuading that he owes them for all the trouble he caused with

			<description><![CDATA[ No, he couldn&#39;t give her blood because he hadn&#39;t manifested in the world yet. Basically he laid all of his hopes on Hope because she was his avatar,
and an avatar is expendable because it&#39;s an extension of himself. Bringing himself directly into the world through Iolaus was much riskier.

To me the Loki thing was a temporary measure. He couldn&#39;t expose himself completely because he was still vulnerable. He gave Loki that opportunity, and the
