Wow, this is hilarious. XD Is there a release date for this yet? I didn't see one mentioned in the first post, but I'll feel real stupid for asking if one was posted on the last page. x3

It would be awesome if it came out this summer. I'll be in Japan in the fall and I don't feel like paying $25 for a movie, haha. If it's already filming, though, perhaps it will be out this summer, though! Very exciting news.

We want to Xena movie and we want Xena and Gabby relationship in full swing. Some thing along the line of the picture you have above. lol Is that a real pic, or fic?

I tend to believe that itis true, mostly because I want it to be.

It will be like the 'Warrior, Priestess..Tramp' episode confession. "My eyes fell upon the summer squash....sure the gods wouldn't have give us such firm fruit if they didn't..."

No doubt if they are both nuns it will be a homage to that scene, know since it is also by the Xena producers. Plus Michael loves that subtext stuff.
Here is to wishing it is true. If it is I am buying...

Which means it's a limited corporation---made solely for the purpose of making this film.

Thanks for the clarification as I'm totally ignorant about movie financing. So who would put up money for an indie like this, the people making it or would they have to find investors?

This sounds like a lot of fun but what I'm wondering about is how can a movie like this secure financing but a Xena movie or DVD can't? We've been told that a Xena movie doesn't have enough of a built in audience to secure a profit but who will be the audience for this movie? No offense at all to Michael Hurst, I think he's great, but other than Hercules fans, I would imagine few people have heard of him, certainly not enough for him to carry a movie opening. Unless this...

It's too early to tell---but most usually go to DVD at some point if they have a distributor lined up, etc.
