(Only child here, so no stories to post. However, my mom and dad both have sibling horror stories to tell, and my cousins who have siblings really don't get along with them.)

I'm the oldest of three - my sister is 15 months younger than me, my brother 5 years. So we currently stand at 23,22 and 18.

Me and my sis are opposites in most ways - both take after different parents in looks and build, she's very out-going, dramatic and quick-tempered whereas I prefer a good book and trying to smooth things over. But we've always been very close, went to the same schools and hobby groups etc. I do miss her now she's moved away, but she can also...

me and my brother come from a very old family. and the four of us (mom, dad, pat, me) are all black sheep of our families in one way or another, so in essence we all understand what it feels like to be an outisider, yet we all at times still feel alone. but anyway. recently the extended family i had that i actually knew and were close to passed away. and the four of us started to get closer. but we are all irish. so i mean we all have very quick tempers and we are very passionate people

I have one older brother whi is a complete 80's hair metal rocker lol his hair is SO long, blonde and thick it makes me quite jealous.

I used to hang around him all the time, I was in awe but to him I was the annoying younger sister lol
We used to fight like cat and dog but now we get on really well, he just teases his girlfriend instead

I have one brother and one sister. My brother and I are really close in age--about a year and a half apart. When we were younger, we used to fight all the time; then once we both got into college, we were really close. Not so much anymore, unfortunately--he lives in Minnesota and I live in Illinois; about the only time we see each other is for the holidays, but when we get back together, the same dynamic is there and it's like we never were apart.

I'm 16 and my brother is 5.
And he beats the crap outa me!
Its my fault really, I taught him how to defend himself, I would pretend to be a kidnapper and he had to fight to get away from me. And we also sent him to karate. But its kinda back fired a bit.
Coz' now he beats me up all the bloody time.
But he is lovley sometimes....

Gah, I always wanted a big protective sis like you, sarinou! My entire biological family are more like ex-housemates than relatives; we're just strangers who know each other really well. I have an amazing adopted family with two older sisters too though, but since I didn't meet them until our mid-teens and we're all so close in age, it's more like we're friends who happen to have the same mom.

What type of relationship do you have with your siblings? What do you do to/with them?

Are you BFFs or can you barely tolerate each other? Does age/gender differences matter?
