        <![CDATA[ That&#39;s right! Here in the U.S., we&#39;re under the misguided notion that moving the time change up a couple of weeks (and later in the fall), will reduce
energy spending. (Word of note, hasn&#39;t help us here in Indiana, one bit. Consumption actually has gone up since obeying DST in 2006.)


On Sunday, March 9 at 2am, the clocks jump ahead an hour.

That&#39;s been the main point for many Hoosiers. It&#39;s a dumb concept. It hasn&#39;t helped the state out since observing DST. (Though, they&#39;ve now
found I believe that our state does more business with Chicago and the western US than the eastern US, yet the majority of the state is on Eastern.)
