Believing to walk my own way doesn't mean that I have to follow the path somebody choosed for me. It can be a path I choosed myself, and that's my way. Because I believe I can build my own life and future

Put me down as another one who doesn't believe that people have a "one true Way" to follow in life. If anything my feelings are that you have to create your own path, and that it involves a lot of trial and error--if there's one certainty it's that nothing is certain

I liked the Way. It was a great episode, and I liked the dialogue Xena had with Krishna. It was good to see which path Xena and Gabrielle had to follow, in order to have a better understanding of their life

I too disliked "The Way" episode in terms of character development for Xena, but not towards Gabrielle since unlike Xena she still wasn't set in her ways yet (pun intended).

Interesting that you should point that out! I totally agree. When I rewatched The Way for Ep of the Week, I was struck by the fact that it was a good Gabrielle episode and a really awful Xena episode (IMO).

I loved those eps. It really was what spring boarded me to look into different beliefs than what I had been brought up under.

And Elsie I do the same thing, I tend to see and hear what I want to hear, or reinterpret it instantly to something that means something to me. So I saw a lot of what I wanted to during those eps.

Hmmm, well, it's been too long since I've seen The Way...this might be just another example of me seeing what I choose to see, and reinterpreting what I remember on the screen! I agree Smutterly1, I think there is a way for every person and like Sm said it is just as good as each other persons. Like the truth, there is a different truth for everyone and it is just as true and great as the next persons. This applies to religion, and spiritual, and career path. Lol, I guess it was pretty silly of me to apply a spiritual philosophy from "Xena" to my own personal vocation dilemma, but I always thought that in some small way that the two go hand-in-hand since the career that was truly "meant" for you in life is also considered your true calling in life (or a way of life) as well.

There's quite a big difference between a spiritual way and a career path. A career or what you major in at college doesn't (usually) define you to the extent that the Ways they were talking about in the ep do, which seemed more about some pre-destined spiritual path, with a whole load of moral choices caught up in it as well.
