No doubt about it, XENA...
It would be an interesting fight....one that would surley take awhiile but in the end only one can be victorious.

Hercules.

Don't let the GAUNTLET beating fool you. Xena's powers of recuperation were working fine. Herc was just plain better.

Of course, if the fight were after Ms. Lawless became Mrs. Tapert...

The Sovereign? Hmmm.
He's evil, so he wouldn't have those pesky feelings or belief in morality to hold him back...

Yet, I don't think he's as smart as regular Hercules and that would be a problem. Plus, he's so dang arrogant he'd underestimate Xena and now there's an even bigger problem. His Xena wasn't much of a fighter, so that would also influence how he'd go about fighting her.

Ultimately, I think he'd go down even quicker...

Well if this were on one of the shows... of course the person who would win would be whoever was presented as the good guy... because *gasp* no other conclusion is possible...

But regardless of that, I think Xena would win. Herc lacks the killer instinct. Xena pretty much just can't die. Like if ever there was a fighter and survivor it would be Xena. Also, I think she's just more inventive in a useful way in terms of fighting, like someone said before Herc can be inventive,...

If Hercules didn't like finding ways out of fights and was just as cunning as Xena, then probably Hercules (assuming it wouldn't be a draw).

Assuming the Hercules "we knew" (for lack of a better term) was fighting Xena, then probably Xena. I think physically Hercules is an equal match, but Xena could find some way to outwit him.

Sure didn't stop her from gutting Bellepheron like a fish in To Helicon and Back. Of course, Bellepheron didn't have as much chest hair as Hercules. Hmmm.

It seems like a really moot question, because I'm pretty sure Herc has kicked her behind at least once before. Never mind the fact that he's half-God and Xena's not. (No, I don't think Ares is her Daddy cause that just makes me skeez out badly!). I love Xena, I think she would be better than Herc at a lot of things, but kicking ass isn't one of them. When she kills a lion with her bare hands, then we'll talk.

And hello - Hercules needs no damned cool...

I say Xena would win, but under some conditions:

1) She'd have to find a way to end it quickly, otherwise Herc would win simply by wearing her out. His godly heritage does enable him to keep on fighting longer than her.
2) She wouldn't be able to just straight duke it out, she'd have to use some form of...
