I started watching Hercules when they first aired the movies in 93. Since then I've been hooked on Hercules and Kevin Sorbo.
So my tops is KS Hercules and my second is Xena LL...
I love both shows but my number one is HTLJ.
I look at the two shows as a different, but similar in many ways too.

If you are in Canada, try this link. Even if you are in the US, I think they ship there. With the currency being so close now, it maybe worth it if you cannot find it anywhere else.
Sometimes, DVD rental stores has used copies that are in mint cond for good prices also.

I used to hate "Hercules" and would only watch the episodes with characters who appeared on "Xena". I still think X:WP is the superior show but H:TLJ had some great episodes as well.

I am a fan of both Xena and Hercules, and I have collected both anthologies on DVD......Xena is am favorite show ever, but I think Hercules is pretty good as well. I like the stonger mythology aspect of Hercules that Xena doesn't articularly have.

Yeah, Zeus seemed to like Herc a lot more than Ares, who was his true legitimate son, that must be pretty frustrating. I think it has had his influence on Ares over the years..
I really liked that scene as well.

But that was in God Fearing Child, a Xena episode. Though, it was a crossover with Herc so it was both, I guess. (and yeah, I agree, that was very revealing to what Ares' feelings were in regards to his father... I liked that).

Aurora - there was a moment where he was having a moment with Zeus, and then he asks Zeus (quite emotionally) what he saw in Hercules that he never saw in him (Ares). And I just about died! Poor baby!

I liked Ares on both shows, for different reasons.., though Ares from Xena comes first, but I really loved his humor on Hercules

What are your best Ares moments from Herc, lethaia? I've always felt that Ares' best moments were on Xena but he had some great comical ones on Hercules.

I figure you can't have one without the other. No Hercules, no Xena. I love them both and watch them both. I need to do that or I feel out of whack. Not enough men in Xena and not enough women in Hercules. The two series go together like lovely book-ends. Plus the *best* Ares moment ever was in Hercules, hand down.

I like Herc ok but Xena is definitely on top. (pun intended) I'm one of those Herc-Xena shippers who was sad when that ship sailed into the forgotten realm by the creative team and fans (Where my peeps at?). I think both series and lead characters were more interesting in their early years. I own 5 seasons of Xena on DVD sans S 5 because the Twilight p$$$ me off , versus just season 1 of Herc.

do think however they combined for the best two hours, EVER, in televisoon

history!! I loved the Xena crossovers as well as all the characters that made appearances

in both shows.

I like Hercules (have all the DVD's and watched all of them more than a few times) but I'm just not as much of a fan of Hercules as I am of Xena. Xena just drew me in so much more than Hercules ever did. But I enjoy the series and I like watching it.

I loved Hercules once. But then Xena came, and I changed my mind. Now when I watch Hercules I have the feeling that it is so weird. I only watch Xena crossover episodes

I do have all the Herc DVD's but purely for any episodes concerning Xena, Ares and Callisto. I voted the last option because I really am not a fan of that show at all. I gave it an honest effort once upon a time but I got bored way too fast and started watching the clock on my DVD player wondering how much longer till it ended. Needless to say...when you find yourself doing that with a show..it's time to throw in the towel.

How many people here are fans of Hercules: The Legendary Journeys as well as Xena, Warrior Princess? How does your "fanship" of the two shows stack up, and why?

What do you think are the strongest points of H:TLJ and X:WP, compared to each other?
