			<description><![CDATA[ This is always what killed me and probably the reason I despised FIN (among the several reasons there was to hate the finale) but I always thought that Ares
should have played some role in the final adventure. All the tension building up between he and Xena all to be forgotten at the very end. I agree with the idea
that there should been a scene where it cut to Eve and Ares to show their reactions...personally I believe that since he&#39;s immortal, he just waited for her

But I think he&#39;d explore all other possible options first, both because I think by then he knows how devastated Xena will be by Gabrielle&#39;s death, and
because he knows he will not get a warm &quot;thank you&quot; from her if he saves her life at the cost of Gabrielle&#39;s.

Here&#39;s an interesting fanfic (though subtexty, or rather bitexty I suppose) with Ares by the side of a dying Xena... I could see something similar
happening in that vision.

doing to Gabrielle, push her buttons for her to sacrifice herself instead of Xena. Ken Rogers wrote a fan fic where Gabrielle sees what happens in a dream and
effectiely takes the &quot;Xena&quot; role in FIN but it all ends happier. Instead of a dream maybe that could be Ares paintinting the picture to Gabrielle, so
