No. Hercules was half-god. I liked that you never really knew if he could die.
I also view Xena a lot differently. I liked that Xena gave up her life to finally getting the redemption she had sought for 6 years. Hercules didn't need redemption.

No problem. I've been in your position a few times too, so I know exactly where you're coming from.

But going back on my original thought that Hercules shouldn't die because the show is too light-hearted, I think my opinion on that would have changed if Kevin Sorbo had agreed to do another 3 years of the show. I'm sorry if you took that as an attack on Hercules, but I didn't mean anything negative by it. Hercules is an amazing show and in many ways I like it more than Xena, but a good chunk of its episodes were light hearted and just plain fun. That's what I loved about it. I'm a big H:TLJ fan, but I'd be the first to say that it was a "lighter" show than X:WP, in that the title character was far less conflicted than Xena - Herc was a good guy, and everybody knew it. I started a thread some years ago in which I argued that Herc was a more "externally-directed" series than Xena - let me dig it up and restart the thread on this forum.

Hercules is a very light and fluffy show; killing the main character off doesn't fit in with that style of show. Full Circle was a very boring episode, but ending was perfect. Hercules & Iolaus walking off into the sunset to have more exciting adventures off camera. I couldn't have asked for anything better.

I'm not as big a Herc fan as I am of Xena but I liked Full Circle. I wish Xena had ended that way.

I went with not dying, but I agree with what CasualFan mentioned GFC was the real Herc final, it seemed like a much better way to end the series and Herc's character with GFC.

The final season of HTLJ still hasn't been shown here but since it was established earlier that Kevin Sorbo really was Hercules living in the present they couldn't have killed him off - not that consistency was something that TPTB seemed overly concerned about.

I'd keep it the same. Okay, so I haven't actually watched Full Circle but I don't think that Hercules dying is a good idea. Hercules seemed to be a much lighter show than Xena, so the ending had to be appropriate, and his death just wouldnt fit.
