In my view Gabrielle was the driving force behind the Xena series, with out her Xena would have never changed paths and never changed as a person. Also with out her the fates collide world wouldn't have been put right by her burning the loom. She is a truly brave character as she did not have Xena's super human strength and yet she went through all the challenges with Xena.

She went on a mission to find Holiday Road.

After listening to her story and viewing the evidence, it's a miracle that she made it back. (well not really, but I can't tell you how she got back. )
