Princess Diana is ok, she get's a bit whiny after a while. Do love the sight of her riding Argo side-saddle though. Meg is a lot of fun and it's really interesting to see that she and Joxer end up together when she looks exactly like Xena (what do we call Joxer/Xena subtext? Xexer? Jona?)

Was Xena Really In Love With Caesar?

I was wondering where everybody stood on Xena's feelings for Caesar in the beginning (think Destiny).

I'm going to say that yes, Xena was definitely in love with Caesar. You have to remember she was probably around 17 or 18, and Caesar's good looks and smug personality probably made her fall hard. This was also before she was evil, so it would have been easier for her.

What do you all think?

Normally the clip show is a way for the studio to save money by recycling old footage into a new ep. They invariably consist of characters sitting around going "Remember the time...?"

This is the 20th in a series of polls, where we take one episode from each season and pit them against eachother, going by episode number per season. e.g season 1 episode 1, season 2 episode 1, then moving onto the next episode number season 1 episode 2, season 2 episode 2 and so on. One of the things that annoy me about AFIN is that it implies that the relationship between Xena and Gabrielle was primarily one of student/teacher, that Gabrielle's journey was about her development as a warrior under Xena's tutelage.

Do you think that's true?

I really don't think so. If anything, it was the contrary. Xena really worshiped Gabrielle's goodness, and wanted to keep her as innocent as possible for as long as she could. I really can't...

I while ago I started watching the show from the beginning (which I hadn't done in a while), and I'm currently watching the last half of S6.

I gotta say, I'm a bit disappointed that they spent so much time in pointless, boring episodes (SITC, SP, LOTC, etc), yet they passed up on stories with lots of potential, things I did want to know.

Like, how did Ares come into Xena's life? How did she get the chakram? How did Ares end up in the tomb with the scrolls...

Plenty to go around but excepting the obvious I'd say that the pairing I would most like to have seen is Gabby and Aphrodite, she's the love goddess and I'm sure she'd have rocked Gabby's world. Second would be Xena and Callisto. As for the guys I'd go for Ceaser and Dracco

On Hercules I'll go for the obvious and say Iolaus and Herc. For the girls Aphrodite and Callisto

Buffy I'd go for Faith and Buffy with Spike and Angel(us) for the guys...
