At the end Xena said she had figured out the Catch-22 in his plan: even if she killed Cyrene to avenge her father, the Furies would still continue to plague her for killing her mother, so that she would remain insane and thus "more sympathetic to his (Ares') quaint world-view." However ... does Ares really want an insane Warrior Queen?
